What a new door costs to get right

The door is only part of the job. It needs springs sized to its exact weight, tracks that fit the headroom you actually have, and an opener that can lift it without straining. Many Essex County garages are older and tighter than the suburbs further north, so we measure the opening, headroom and side room and look at the framing before we quote. Low-headroom track and side-mount openers solve most of what we find.

The Carlstadt warehouse stocks residential doors, openers and parts, so a standard-size steel door is usually a same-day install once you have picked it. Custom sizes, wood and specialty glass doors are ordered and typically take a few weeks.

Our showroom at 333 16th Street in Carlstadt is about twenty minutes from Montclair and walk-in, no appointment needed. Bring a photo of the front of the house and the width and height of the opening.

Warranty and financing

Every residential installation carries our own 2-year parts and labor warranty, on top of the manufacturer warranty on the door. Details are on the warranty page. Financing is available through Wisetack, and checking your options does not affect your credit.
