A two-inch aluminum frame
The frame is what separates a Full View that still runs properly in ten years from one that does not. C.H.I. builds it from two-inch aluminum with quarter-inch through bolts at every joint, rather than relying on corner brackets alone, and runs a bulb seal along the bottom section.

Choose your glass
The glass is the decision that changes how the door lives day to day — how much you see out, how much the street sees in, and how warm the garage stays.
Clear
Full view, nothing hidden. The most light, and you see the driveway from inside.
Tinted
Cuts glare and heat and darkens the view in from the street.
Obscure
Light comes through, detail does not.
Frosted
Full privacy and still bright inside.
Low-E insulated
Keeps the garage noticeably warmer than standard glass.
Solid aluminum
No glass at all, where insulation matters more than light.
Tempered safety glass is available on nearly every option.
Over 200 frame colors
Clear anodized and white are the standard finishes. Past that the range is wide enough that matching the door to the windows, the trim or the front door is almost always possible.

Where a Full View makes sense
It is the door people pick when the garage stopped being only a garage. Home gyms, workshops, studios and detached barns are the most common, because daylight changes how usable the space is. It also suits storefronts, showrooms and restaurants that want to open the front onto the street in summer, and houses where the garage faces the road and the doors are the largest thing on the elevation.

Full View garage doors — common questions
Can people see into the garage through a Full View door?
That depends on the glass. Clear gives a full view both ways. Tinted cuts glare and heat and darkens the view in. Obscure lets light through but blurs the detail. Frosted gives full privacy while staying bright. You can also choose solid aluminum panels with no glass at all.
Are Full View garage doors insulated?
Low-E insulated glass is available and keeps the garage noticeably warmer than standard glass. Solid aluminum panels are another option where insulation matters more than daylight.
What colors does a Full View door come in?
Clear anodized and white are standard. Beyond that there are 13 C.H.I. powder coat colors, 13 Morton powder coat colors, 188 RAL colors and 4 woodgrain finishes. If none of those are right, we can match a sample you bring into the showroom.
Is the glass safe?
Tempered safety glass is available on nearly every glass option.
