Why the brand on your door matters for a repair

Garage doors are not standardised the way most people assume. Section heights, hinge patterns, track radius, strut spacing, drum sizing and panel profiles vary between manufacturers, and often between model lines from the same manufacturer.

The practical consequence: when one panel is damaged, whether that panel can be replaced on its own depends entirely on whether the line is still in production and still matching. Sometimes it is a single-section swap. Sometimes the line was discontinued and the honest answer is that a new door costs less than chasing a match. Being a dealer across the board is what lets us tell you which one you are dealing with instead of guessing.

Seeing a door before you buy it

Our Carlstadt showroom at 333 16th Street is the only place in the territory where you can stand in front of a door and look at it before deciding. Photographs flatten texture, and woodgrain, panel depth and colour all read differently in person than on a screen.

Worth bringing: a photo of the front of the house, the width and height of the opening, and whether the current door is insulated. That is enough to price something properly rather than in the abstract.
