Program Your Remote or Keypad

  Press & release the yellow Learn button on your opener The light should turn on. You have 30 seconds.

  Press & hold the button on the 893LM remote (2-3 seconds) The opener light will blink—your remote is programmed.
• 3
  Test it Stand 15 feet away and press the button. Door should open/close.

  ✓ If it works, you’re done!

  Position sensors on both sides of the garage door opening Mount 4-6 inches above the floor for optimal detection range.

  Ensure sensors face each other directly Sensors should have a clear line of sight to each other. Use a level to align.

  Connect wires to the sensor terminals on your opener Follow the color coding: White = trigger, Black = ground.

  Use 18 AWG or thicker wire for runs over 50 feet

  Check sensor alignment lights Both sensors should show a steady red light. If not, realign them.

  Test safety reversal Close the door and wave your hand in the beam. Door should reverse.

Remote not working?

• Replace remote batteries with fresh ones
• Make sure you pressed Learn button within 30 seconds before pressing remote button
• Stand closer (within 20 feet) and try again
• Hold remote button for full 2-3 seconds continuously
• Try programming to a different button if available
• Clear all programming and start over (press Learn for 6+ seconds until light stops blinking)

Keypad not responding?

• Replace keypad batteries (check battery type: 4 AA or 2 AA depending on model)
• Move keypad closer to opener (should be within 40 feet)
• Make sure you pressed # button after typing PIN
• Double-check your PIN number (no leading zeros)
• Try a different PIN code to test functionality
• Clean keypad contacts if buttons are unresponsive

Safety sensors not detecting?

• Check that both sensors show steady red alignment lights
• Clean sensor lenses (use soft cloth—don’t scratch)
• Verify sensors face each other with clear line of sight
• Check all wire connections at both the sensor and opener
• Test with wire connections reversed (swap white/black at one end)
• Replace batteries in wireless sensor models

Opener Learn button light won’t come on?

• Check that garage door is fully closed
• Verify opener has power (check outlet/breaker/GFI reset)
• Press Learn button firmly for 1-2 seconds
• Try unplugging opener for 30 seconds, then plug back in
• If door moves when Learn button pressed, it’s a different type of opener—contact us
• If still no light, the opener may need professional service

Door reverses when it shouldn’t?

• Check that safety sensors are properly aligned
• Clean sensor lenses of dust and debris
• Verify nothing is blocking the door’s path
• Test door force settings (may need professional adjustment)
• Check for loose connections at the sensor terminals
