We keep these in stock at the warehouse, so an opener swap is usually a same-day job: LiftMaster 6690L, LiftMaster 4690L, LiftMaster 6580L, LiftMaster 98022 and LiftMaster 2220L. How to program a LiftMaster 877MAX keypad
Match your LEARN button color (yellow 1, purple 2, red/orange 3, green 4 presses of ENTER), then: press LEARN on the opener, hold * and # until the light stops blinking, enter a 4-digit code, press ENTER for your color, press 0, and test with your code and ENTER.
How to program a LiftMaster 893MAX remote
Press the Program button on the back of the remote, press LEARN on the opener (or press LEARN 2 times on the wall control), click the button you want to use to match your LEARN color (yellow 1, purple 2, red/orange 3, green 4), wait for the opener light to flash, press the Program button again to leave programming mode, then test it.
How to program a LiftMaster L979M wireless keypad
Yellow, purple, red or orange LEARN button: hold 0 and 3 until the red lights stay on, press LEARN on the opener, enter a 4-digit PIN and press HOME twice within 20 seconds, press HOME once more when the door moves, then test with your PIN and HOME. White LEARN button: press LEARN, enter your PIN, and hold HOME until the opener lights flash.

Which garage door opener do you recommend?
We are an authorized LiftMaster dealer and install the 6690L, 4690L, 6580L, 98022 and 2220L most often for homes. Call and describe your door — weight, height, single or double — and we will tell you which fits before we come out.
My opener hums but the door does not move. Is the opener dead?
Usually not. A humming opener with a door that will not lift is most often a broken spring or a stripped drive gear. We check the springs first, because replacing an opener on a door with a broken spring will just break the new opener.
Why does my garage door reverse before it closes?
The safety sensors near the floor are blocked or out of line, or the close-force setting has drifted. Sensors can be realigned in minutes. If the door reverses with nothing in the way and the sensors are lined up, the travel and force need adjusting.
Can you install an opener in a garage with low headroom?
Yes. Side-mount (jackshaft) openers mount beside the door instead of on the ceiling and work where a trolley opener will not fit.
How long does an opener installation take?
Usually the same day, in a couple of hours, since we carry the common LiftMaster models in stock.
What is the warranty on a new opener?
Every opener we install carries our two-year parts and labor warranty on top of the manufacturer warranty.
