Why we sell Clopay
We are an authorized Clopay dealer. Clopay is the largest garage door manufacturer in North America, and the practical reason we carry it is range: from a basic insulated steel door to a full-view glass door or a composite carriage house, there is a Clopay line at every price point, all built on the same hardware platform we service every day.
People ask whether Clopay from us is the same as Clopay from a big-box store. The door can be. The difference is who measures the opening, who installs it, who springs it correctly for its weight, and who comes back if something is off. We install it, we warranty the labor for two years, and we stock the parts.

Modern Steel
Flush or grooved steel panels with Clopay’s Ultra-Grain finish, which is a printed woodgrain that holds up to weather far better than paint on wood. It is the door we put on renovated colonials and new builds that want a warm look without maintenance.
Avante
Aluminum frame, glass panels, minimal sight lines. This is Clopay’s full-view door and it competes directly with the C.H.I. Full View we also sell — worth seeing both in the showroom before you decide.
Canyon Ridge
Carriage-house design in a composite overlay on an insulated steel base. It looks like wood, it does not rot or need repainting, and it is the door that suits most Bergen County colonials and center-halls.
Clopay also makes the Gallery and Coachman carriage-house lines and the Classic raised-panel steel doors. If the house is traditional, those are usually the right fit.
Insulation, and whether you need it
Most Clopay lines come in non-insulated, polystyrene and polyurethane versions, with Intellicore polyurethane at the top. The honest rule: if the garage is attached, shares a wall with a room you use, or has a room above it, insulation is worth it and you will notice it in January. A detached garage you park in and leave usually does not need it.
Insulated doors are also quieter and stiffer, which matters if the garage sits under a bedroom.
Seeing one before you buy it
Our Carlstadt showroom at 333 16th Street has doors on display. Colour and woodgrain photograph badly, so it is worth coming in with a photo of the front of the house, the width and height of the opening, and whether the current door is insulated.
