Questions we get at the counter
Belt or chain?
Belt (6580L, 6690L) is quieter and the right choice for a garage attached to the house or under a bedroom. Chain (2220L, 4690L) costs less or handles heavier doors — and the 2220L is DC, so it's quieter than the old AC chain drives. Both last decades when the door is balanced.
7 ft, 8 ft or 10 ft rail?
The rail matches your door height: 7 ft rail for a 7-ft door, 8 ft for an 8-ft door, 10 ft for a 10-ft door. Measure the door, not the opening, and text us if you're not sure.
Can I keep my old remotes?
Usually not — LiftMaster's current Security+ 2.0 and 3.0 openers need current remotes, which come in the kit. Keypads and extra remotes are at the counter.
What about the wall-mount models?
The 98022 and 98032 mount beside the door on the torsion shaft, so they free up the ceiling for storage or a lift and work with high-lift tracks. They need a torsion-spring door and about 8" of side room.
Do you install?
Yes — usually same day across Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Hudson and Morris counties. Opener installation is quoted separately with a free estimate.
