This page explains what we collect when you call us, fill in a form on this site, or just look around — and what we do with it. We fix and install garage doors. We are not a data business. We collect what we need to quote your job, get a technician to your door, and bill you correctly.

Who we are

NJ Garage Doors LLC (“NJ Garage”, “we”, “us”) is a garage door repair and installation company serving North Jersey.

This policy covers njgarage.com and the phone numbers listed on it.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code and the type of service you need — from the quote request and contact forms on this site.
  • Your service address and details about the door or opener, once you book work with us.
  • Anything else you choose to tell us in a message, a text or on a call — including photos of your door, if you send them.

Information collected automatically when you browse

When you visit njgarage.com, our site and the services listed below record:

  • Your IP address and approximate location, at city or region level
  • Your browser, device type, operating system and screen size
  • Which pages you view, what you click, and how long you stay
  • The site, search or ad that sent you here

We do not use this to identify you personally. We use it to see which pages and which ads actually lead to work.

Phone calls, including recording

Calls to the phone numbers on this website may be recorded. The numbers shown on the site are tracking numbers operated by CallRail on our behalf. When you call one, CallRail logs your phone number, the date and length of the call, the page you were on when you called, and the search or ad that brought you to the site. It also records the call itself.

We record calls so we can confirm what was quoted and what was promised, settle any disagreement about a job, and train the people who answer the phone. We do not use recordings for anything else and we do not share them outside the company.

If you would rather not be recorded, say so when someone answers and we will stop the recording, or ask us to call you back on a line that is not recorded.

How we use it

  • To answer your question and give you a price
  • To schedule a technician, find your address and do the work
  • To invoice you and keep a record of the job for warranty purposes
  • To follow up on a quote you asked for
  • To work out which searches, ads and pages bring us real work, so we stop paying for the ones that do not
  • To meet our tax, insurance and other legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand it to anyone else to advertise their own products to you.

Google Tag Manager is used to load these. There is no advertising pixel from Facebook, Instagram or any other social network on this site, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you across other websites.

You can clear or block all of these through your browser settings. You can also switch off Google Analytics everywhere using Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and change what Google uses for ad targeting at My Ad Center. Blocking them will not stop the site working.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the companies that help us run the business, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Google — Analytics, Ads and Tag Manager, for site traffic and ad performance.
  • CallRail — call tracking and call recording.
  • Our website host and email provider — they store the site and the messages you send us.
  • Housecall Pro and Invoice2go — our scheduling and invoicing software. They hold your job, address and contact details so a technician can be dispatched and the work billed.
  • Housecall Pro — card payments are processed through it. We do not store your full card number.
  • Our accountant, insurer and attorney, where a specific matter requires it.

We will also disclose information if the law requires it, in response to a valid legal process, or where it is necessary to protect someone’s safety or our legal rights.

How long we keep it

We keep what we need for as long as we need it, and no longer.

  • Quote requests and customer job records, including invoices and warranty details: we do not delete these on a schedule. We keep them for as long as we are in business, so that years later we can still look up which door we fitted and what it came with. You can ask us to delete yours at any time — see Your choices below.
  • Call recordings: about 90 days, after which CallRail deletes them automatically.
  • Website analytics: 13 months, after which Google deletes it automatically.

Some records we are required to keep longer for tax and insurance reasons.

Your choices

Whether or not the law in your state requires it, if you ask us we will:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you
  • Send you a copy of it
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it, apart from records we have to keep for tax, warranty or insurance reasons
  • Stop sending you follow-ups about a quote
  • Delete a recording of a call you were on

Email info@njgarage.com or call 201-621-2161 and we will deal with it within 45 days. We will not charge you and we will not treat you any differently for asking.

New Jersey residents have rights under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act, and residents of several other states have similar rights under their own laws. The list above is what we will do for anyone who asks, regardless of where they live.

Security

This site runs over an encrypted connection. Customer records are held in the systems named above and on computers in our own offices, and access is limited to the office and field staff who need it to do their job. No system is perfect, and we cannot promise that information sent over the internet is completely secure — please do not email us bank details or card numbers.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging work on a home or a building. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@njgarage.com and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to manufacturers such as C.H.I., Clopay, LiftMaster and others. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site, under their privacy policy, not ours.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so here rather than quietly edit it.
